The team Rantanplan was created 20 seasons ago now. After 4 seasons wearing a basic deep blue/orange shirt, a jersey was designed with golden yellow entering the frame.
Then we allways kept this combination of colors, that is the mark of the team, with some variations of the design. We went from a traditionnal approach on season 18, to a quite "modern-art" style on season 25, much appreciated by our fans, that we kept until accessing D1 in season 32.
Such an event was a milestone in our history. and the staff decided it had to be marked with a new design of the jersey.
Our PR manager Mayeul then got a great idea after a sort of walk he made in a desert during his holidays: he pictured a sunrise, with the blue stripe of a road climbing to the sky.
You must know that Mayeul Allemand (his name means German in french) is quite a strange PR: he's a tall and thin guy, more looking like an old hippie with his long blond hairs and round tainted glasses, and tough he's allways wearing an elegant black suit on a spotless white shirt, he's not the best communicator and organiser. But sometimes he has brilliant blows, that's why he's still here.
Team's manager Rantanplan showed some enthusiasm for the symbolic idea, but also some regrets that the orange color was disappearing. While talks and minds were going around it by the staff, riders were racing, and before any idea was fixed, Thibault Zimmer, in an outstanding form, was winning a first race in D1.
"like a claw's scratch !", shouted euphoric manager Rantanplan during the party following the victory. "Oh yes, and we have to show it on the new jersey", replied Mayeul, "...and in orange color !!!".
"Mayeul you're a genius, let's do it right now !", concluded Rantanplan. He was pretty drunk at this moment...
So a first orange scratch was added, but before the new shirt was produced, Thibault was winning 2 more D1 races ! And so 2 new claw's scares were added on the final design of the new jersey.
Now on, further evolutions of the design will only come from new victories in D1. In season 33 the team fell down to D2 and even D3 for a week. Now it's D2 and on the road to D1 again, but we'll have to wait a while climbing this blue road in the sunrise, before adding a new orange scare in the sky of this jersey !...

Well, only possible development must come by a new victory in D1, so you have to be patient... :)

Comme tu le sais, on manque pas d'imagination chez les Rantanplan mais plutôt de rigueur !
